TRIPLE GLAZED SASH WINDOWS

Triple Glazed Sash Windows | Modern Sash Windows

What is Triple Glazing?

Triple glazing consists of three panes of glass sandwiched together with an inert gas such as Argon in the two voids created. Essentially 50% more than Double Glazing.

What are the Benefits of Triple Glazed Sash Windows?

Increased insulation - Triple glazing can be the most efficient glazing solution in respect of noise and thermal efficiency. Some triple glazed units give the same amount of insulation as a standard insulated cavity wall!

Reduction in noise pollution - For people that live in noisy areas such as on a busy road, triple glazed sash windows would have a dramatic effect on

reducing the amount of noise able to enter your home.

Increase in Saleability - If you house is in a noisy area then having triple glazed sash windows installed will definitely be a bonus for any potential buyer should you decide to sell your home.

Do Triple Glazed Sash Windows Look any Different to Original Sash Windows?

Yes and no....! Triple glazed glass is thicker than double glazed glass so the frames and sashes do need to be thicker to accommodate the extra weight of the glass.

Triple glazed sash windows will be very similar to standard double glazed sash windows, but slightly bulkier.

Are Triple Glazed Sash Windows more expensive?

Triple glazed windows are more expensive than double glazed sash windows as the glazing is heavier so there is slightly more timber to add sturdiness and lead required to balance the sashes - we are always more than happy to produce two quotes for you so you can compare the difference, all you need to do is ask!

As a guide a standard double glazed sash window is likely to cost between £850 ex VAT and £2,000 ex VAT, including installation and finishing.
